Audrey was born in a European family. When Audrey was 4 years old, her parents moved from North France to Marseille, a city in France.
She met the Indian TV actor Kushal Punjabi in Goa, and after dating for more than 2 years, the couple got married in November 2015. The wedding was held in Goa, and they followed both the Christian and Hindu rituals of wedding.
The couple was blessed with a baby boy on 5 April 2016, and his name is ‘Kian.’
Audrey’s company CMA CGM offered her promotion in its China branch in 2017, so, she shifted from India to China along with her son. Her husband, Kushal Punjabi had to stay back in India for his acting career. Kushal used to visit Audrey and Kian very often, but their long-distance marriage started facing troubles. The couple decided to part ways and were about to get divorced. Reportedly, Kushal was not happy with his personal and professional life and was suffering from a severe condition of depression. On 26 December 2019, Audrey’s husband, Kushal committed suicide by hanging to a ceiling fan in his flat in Bandra, Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, Kushal has written a suicide note in which nothing has been mentioned about his wife, Audrey. Some of the lines of his suicide note were,
No one should be held responsible for my death. 50 per cent of my assets should be divided equally between my parents and sister, while the remaining portion should be given to a three-year-old son.”
In 2005, Audrey Dolhen joined the London branch of CMA CGM, a French container transportation and shipping company. In an interview, she said,
In Marseille, boats are part of everyday life. So when it came to choosing my path, the maritime sector naturally imposed itself.”
She worked there for almost five years. In 2010, she was offered to work in India in the sales management department of CMA CGM, Mumbai. On 1 January 2011, she landed in Mumbai to lead a team of 150 employees in CMA CGM. She said in an interview,
I had never set foot in the country before, and all of a sudden, I am leading a team of 150 people. I really had to prove myself. The young woman’s mission is to reorganize the sales organization in a country that is still very patriarchal. I was rather well accepted because I was more labelled as a Westerner than a woman. That’s what, I think, helped me to impose myself.”
Soon, she was appointed as the General Manager of the company. In 2017, CMA CGM, China was reorganising and offered her a post in commercial management in China. She agreed to it and moved to China along with her son. In 2018, she was promoted to the Chief Commercial Officer in CMA CGM China.
