Vaibhav Saxena was born on Saturday, 13 December 1990 (age 29 years; as in 2019) in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He did his schooling from HP Children’s Academy and Little Flower School, Gorakhpur. He did his graduation in Computer Science from Sharda University Greater Noida.

He belongs to a Kayastha Hindu Family. His father Dr Rajeev Kumar Saxena, was a renowned eye surgeon from Gorakhpur. His mother, Usha Kiran Saxena is M.Sc. PhD from MS University, Vadodara and currently works as freelance wellness advisor. He has a younger brother Utkarsh Saxena, who is a doctor.

Career

As a Music Composer and Music Director

Vaibhav Saxena started his music career as a composer with Gunjan Jha. Vaibhav’s debut music album was “Bhakti Band” (2009) released by Times Music, and was an indo-western fusion of devotional songs.

Vaibhav introduced ‘Brainwave sound technology’ for the first time in India.

 

In 2009, Vaibhav composed music for legendary ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas for album “Shabad” released by Times Music. The album had semi-classical compositions and has ‘Shabad’ from Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Vaibhav made his Bollywood debut with the song ‘Iltija’ from the movie Lanka (2011).

 

He gained immense popularity with his two crossover singles ‘You And Me (Teri Galliyan)’ in 2014 and ‘Without You (Soch)’ in 2015. The songs were released under one of India’s biggest music record labels, T-Series.

 

Vaibhav Saxena is also a part of an Indian fusion band ‘Sumiran.’ It is a unique combination of youth fervour, rooted in classical music and modern sounds, which not only caters to the classes but is also popular among the masses, especially youth. In 2018, his song “More Saiyaan” was very well received by the audience and artists like Sonu Nigam, Papon, Nana Patekar, and R. Madhavan praised it.

 

As a Singer

Vaibhav Saxena made his singing debut with the single song ‘Without You Soch” (2015) from T-Series in which he composed and sang the English part while Hardy Sandhu lent his voice for the Punjabi part.

 

As a Rapper

Vaibhav debuted as a rapper in 2019 with the single dance song “Akhiyaan Vich” featuring Punjabi singer, Ashok Mastie. Vaibhav composed and produced the music as well and sung the English part in this reggaeton dance song.

The music video shot in Goa was released by Zee Music Company and got more than a million views in a fortnight.

 

As an Actor

Vaibhav has also acted in his various music videos, he played the role of a guitarist in the song ‘You And Me (Teri Galliyan)’ in 2014 and a song teller in the music video ‘Without You (Soch)’ in 2015.

Vaibhav was seen as a band member playing the guitar in the song ‘More Saiyaan’ (2018). In the song ‘Akhiyaan Vich’ (2019), Vaibhav appeared as a stylish new-age rapper with the Ragini MMS 2 web series actress, Sneha Namanandi and the Punjabi Pop singer, Ashok Mastie, who is famous for his song ‘Thekeya te nit khadke.’

In his 2020 song ‘Aaja Sohniye’ he played an emotional scene with the famous TV actress Reem Shaikh.

As a Judge

Vaibhav has been judging the famous radio singing contest “Supersinger” by Radio city. Vaibhav has been invited as a music judge for the various singing competitions across Delhi-NCR. In 2018, Vaibhav was invited at AIIMS New Delhi to judge AIIMS Got Talent.

Major Collaborations

In 2019, Vaibhav collaborated with the popular singer Shankar Mahadevan as a composer for the anthem of the National Disaster Management Authority of India “Chal Nikal Taiyaar Ho Ja.”

 

In 2020, he collaborated with the legendary singer Kumar Sanu.
